Red Flag Warning Issued in Maryland: Critical Fire Weather Conditions Expected

Much of Maryland has been issued a Red Flag Warning on Wednesday due to the forecast of gusty winds and low humidities. The warning will be in effect from noon until 8 p.m. for several counties, including Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Harford, Howard, and Carroll, as well as other parts of central and western Maryland. The National Weather Service has explained that a Red Flag Warning indicates that critical fire weather conditions are either currently happening or expected shortly. These conditions include a combination of strong winds, warm temperatures, and low relative humidity that could result in extreme fire behavior.
